NYBA PROGRAMS

Senior League (Grades 9–12)

Keep playing, stay connected and enjoy basketball through the high school years.

Basketball beyond middle school

Senior League gives high school students a way to continue participating in NYBA basketball. It brings players together for community competition, teamwork and enjoyment of the game.

Who it serves

The program serves players in grades 9–12. NYBA’s program structure includes boys and girls Senior League functions; available offerings, eligibility and division arrangements are confirmed in the registration information for each program year.

How the program works

The program lead organizes teams and communicates the format and playing rules. Competitive balance is part of team formation, and evaluations may be used where appropriate. Families and players should review the announced team-formation instructions and applicable Senior League rules.

More responsibility, the same sportsmanship

  • Be ready for scheduled activities and communicate absences.
  • Respect teammates, opponents, officials and volunteers.
  • Follow playing rules and support fair competition.
  • Leave facilities clean and follow each gym’s rules.

The Code of Conduct applies to players, families and guests. Senior League participants are expected to help create an environment where everyone can enjoy playing.
